What can I expect in a session?
How can I prepare for my session?
Prior to the first session, you will complete a thorough New Client Form. This will help focus and prioritize your intentions for the work. Oftentimes, the treatment actually begins, or things start “shifting,” as soon as you book your session! Comfortable, natural-fiber clothing is best for treatments.

My approach to energy work and BodyTalk is influenced by nearly 20 years of studying various modalities including SourcePoint Therapy, BioGeometry®, Yuen Method and contemporary performance, along with hundreds of hours studying Body-Mind Centering®, Fitzmaurice Voicework, Alexander Technique, Franklin Method, Feldenkrais Method, psychotherapy, yoga, and Ayurveda, all of which feed my continuous exploration of a greater awareness and expression of self. I maintain my certification through continued study with the International BodyTalk Association and have completed all of the Advanced Module training.
How do distant and online group sessions work?
Distant sessions are done over the phone or Skype and are just as powerful as in-person sessions. We will do the session as if you were lying down on my table. You can make yourself comfortable, wherever you are, either seated or lying down on a comfortable surface. I do the muscle-testing on my own body to come up with the “BodyTalk formulas,” but the focus is on you. I will communicate what priorities come up and may direct you to do some hand positions or light tapping on your body. The session is essentially working through “consciousness” and “energy,” which is not limited to space and time. Once we shift and balance your system on a “consciousness” level, your body can begin to do the healing it knows how to do. And similarly to if you were on my table, you can communicate with me as to what you might be feeling or sensing in the moment, as you will feel things even in distant work!

How does a phone session differ from a completely remote session?
What can I do to support the work?
I always check in for homework priorities at the end of a session. These may include hydrating during a specific time of day, simple exercises, meditation, tapping out your Cortices, or various self-application techniques that I can teach you at the end of your session. You can also be in touch with followup questions or feedback, both of which can help anchor the work in your system. Remember, the more you put into your own process, the more you get out of it!
What if I don't feel anything?
I will do a thorough intake with you before your first session because sometimes when deep change happens, you may not even realize it. (“How has your hip pain been?” “What hip pain? Oh, I forgot about that!”) You may not feel anything immediately during or after the session, as the body sometimes needs a few days or weeks to go through all the physiological processes. Also, developing a sensitivity to energetic shifts can take time as we are not cultured to pay deep attention to our physical and energetic bodies. Notice if your perspective has started to shift. Are you allowing yourself to make different choices? Give yourself some time, and if after a number of sessions, nothing has shifted, we can find tools to dig deeper or find another route for your health and growth.
How do I cancel or reschedule my session?
Only if you must! Please contact us to cancel or reschedule your in-person or distant session, along with a preferred date and time for your new appointment, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please give us 24-hour notice, or the full appointment fee will be charged. No refunds are given for completely remote sessions and session packages. Thank you for being mindful of our policies.
What if I forgot my password?
